Even today it is very hard to figure out how to create a good PDF. Settings are not easy to find and installation can be complicated. Easy Set-Up & Implementation
A simple interface allows printers/publishers to create Connectors. The Connector contains settings like Preflight Profile, Actions Lists and delivery specifications.
Delivery settings define whether the preflighted PDF file should be sent to your FTP server, or directly to Enfocus Switch. It is also possible to brand the Connector icon itself with your own logo, a company background, or URL.
PitStop Connect is a comprehensive solution you only pay for once, and which allows you to create an unlimited number of different Connectors, which can be distributed to all your customers. There are no extra costs for numbers of Connectors created, or the number of suppliers you distribute the Connectors to.
Connectors can be posted on your website, where your creative partners can download and use them free of charge. Of course your customer can only use your Connector to deliver directly to you.
Perfect PDFs, Tailored to Your Needs
As Printer or Publisher, you can define PitStop Connect’s preflight and correction process to use a standard GWG profile, or your specification using an Enfocus Preflight Profile and/or Action List.
In case of errors your designer will receive a preflight report identifying problems that he can still solve on his side. Depending on your settings, you can allow the designer to sign-off on errors and still allow a file that failed preflight to be delivered.
When delivering directly to Switch, it is also possible to ask or even mandate that your customer supply additional information before sending the file. This metadata can be used to automate processes directly in Switch (e.g. preflight, impose or archive depending on the metadata delivered with the PDF file).
No Set-Up & No Cost for Creative Partners
Your design partners only need to drop the Connector on their desktop and they can literally start to “drop” their files on the Connector. There is no installation or set-up needed. The Connector you created does the rest: checking, fixing, making the file comply with your specs, and then sending it to your FTP or to Switch.
